I finished Madison corset a couple weeks ago and it was an emotional end to the months long journey.
I recorded a video of the experience after I dropped it off with her. Here's a little excerpt from that video:
It's a bit overwhelming every single time I give someone their final custom garment, and they pretty much always have the same reaction, or a similar reactions. She loved it. She said that she felt beautiful. She was just like staring at herself in the mirror in a really wonderful way. She kept it on for a long time and kept twirling around and looking at herself. It's overwhelming for me because that's that moment, that feeling that she is experiencing. That's my why.
As emotional as it was to pass it off to her, I'm glad I captured the moment. It's a wonderful encapsulation of why this work matters to me so much.
