Initial Exploration

Step by Step

The End Goal:

  • See if we're a fit to work together.

  • Gather all the information we need to create a detailed, personalized design.

Why it matters: It's a chance for us to see if we're a creative fit and learn more about your vision without pressure to move forward.

  1. Deep Dive Initial Consult

A 15 minute no commitment call. We'll talk big picture about your vision for your garment and see if we're a fit.

We'll review your questionnaire and develop detailed follow up questions that will guide our 45 minute follow up call.

You'll complete a 25 question form about your style and vision - it takes about 15 minutes.

Average Timeline: 2 - 4 weeks

Phase 2

Design

Step by Step

The End Goal:

  • Align on what exactly your garment will look like.

  • Solidify the budget.

Why it matters: The design creates the roadmap for bringing your perfect garment to life.

Based on the deep dive call & questionnaire, we'll create a multipage design document, including sketches, fabrics, and notions.

Using a written worksheet and video instructions we'll guide you thru taking all of your measurements.

In a 30 minute call we'll review the design and confirm any changes to ensure you're 100% happy with it.

Average Timeline: 3 - 5 weeks

Design deposit required.

Phase 3

Mock Up

Step by Step

The End Goal:

  • An adjusted, well fitting mock up that can be used as the pattern for your final garment.

Why it matters: The mock up allows us to make adjustments to the initial pattern, so that we can get a great fit.

  1. Fabric Procurement

  1. Pattern Creation

We'll purchase all the fabric and notions needed to create your garment.

We'll cut and construct the basic silhouette of your garment in muslin fabric.

Based on your 20+ measurements, we'll create an initial pattern.

Average Timeline: 1 - 3 months

Garment deposit required.

  1. Mock Up Fitting

We'll ship you the mocked up garment and conduct a virtual fitting via video call. We'll talk you thru marking the places that need adjustment.

Phase 4

Final Garment

Step by Step

The End Goal:

  • A completed, detailed garment that wonderfully fits both your body and personality.

Why it matters: All prep work from previous phases comes together to create a thoughtful piece that's unique to you.

  1. Final Pattern Adjustments

  1. Final Garment Creation

Based on the mock up fitting, we'll adjust the pattern to create a great fit.

Your thoughtfully made garment will be carefully packaged and delivered to your door, ready to be unwrapped and put on.

We'll cut and sew your garment using the hand selected fabrics, adding all the tiny finishing details to make it your perfect piece.

Average Timeline: 1 - 3 months

Final payment paid at completion.
